This lesson is based on plants and food. We will learn something called the "Food Chain".
REMEMBER: PLANTS PRODUCE THEIR OWN FOOD. ANIMALS DO NOT MAKE THEIR OWN FOOD.
Before we learn food chain, it is important to know how plants make food.
Wonder how? How does mom make a cake? ... [parents explain how cake is made]
Now that we know how a cake is made, we will see how plants make food.
Plants make their food from Air, Sunlight and Water. All three are important for plants to live.
Since plants make their own food, they are called "Producers".
Pick a tune and sing along ...
